Connecting your Slack Workspace
Connecting your Slack Workspace to Tettra allows you to enable some Slack specific features:
- Easily invite or mention Slack teammates
- Slash commands (Find, request, and create new Tettra pages)
- Receive personalized notifications from Tettrabot
We also have some optional Slack features:
- Create Tettra suggestions from Slack messages with an emoji
- Slack channel notifications
- Share pages to Slack users or channels
To connect your Slack workplace, Go to your Team Integrations page
Click "Connect your Slack Workspace"
You'll then see a screen to grant Tettra permissions to your Slack workspace. If you're part of multiple Slack teams, first choose the intended team from the top right dropdown menu.
Click 'Authorize' and you've connected your Slack workspace!
Connecting your individual email user to Slack
Once you've connected your workspace, you can connect your Slack user with your Tettra user. Doing so allows you to sign in with Slack and use Tettra's Slack integration features. This process also lets you convert an email user to a Slack user, (if, for instance, a new team member signs up for Tettra before logging into Slack for the first time.)
To connect your Slack user go to your 'My settings' page.
On the 'My Integrations' tab you'll see a 'Connect to Slack' button.
Once you click the button you'll se the Slack authorization screen. If you're part of multiple Slack teams, make sure you choose the correct workspace - the Slack user you connect, must belong to the same to the connected Slack workspace.
After you authorize Slack, you'll see the connected account on your integrations page:
