Templates are Tettra pages that can be used to create a page with a pre-defined structure.
To access your team's templates, open the menu in the top right and click Templates:
This is your list of templates that your team can use:
You can click any of the templates to see a quick preview of the page, or click Create Page to create a page from the template.
Each of your templates can belong to a category. When a page is created from a template, it will default into its assigned category. To edit the category, edit the template and recategorize it.
Creating and Editing Templates
To create a new template, go to your Template list and click New template
This will launch you into the page editor. The template editor works exactly like the page editor. Any content you create in the template will be preloaded into a new page created from that template.
Creating Pages from Templates
You can invite new users to fill out a template like a personal bio for example. This can be done from the Invite User screen
Starting a Page from a Template
To start a page in the editor from a template, click the 'New' button in the upper right hand corner of your Tettra account. Once the new draft loads, click the kebab menu in the upper right and select 'Start from template':

Creating and editing Templates
To create or edit a template, first go to the template page by clicking your Team Name > Templates.
Creating a new template
Click the New Template button in the top right hand corner.
This will launch you into the page editor. The template editor works exactly like the page editor, except that any content you save in the template will be preloaded into a new page created from that template.
Editing a template
Click the dropdown menu next to a template, and click Edit template:
Add a default category to the template
While you are editing a template, you can click the category (in the top left) and choose a default category for the template. All future pages created using that template will default to that category. You can always override the category of a specific page and move it to a different category.
Once you are finished editing and categorizing the template, click Publish template:
Creating a template from an existing page
To create a new template from an existing page, click the dropdown menu on any page, then click Create template.
This will create a template from the content of that page that you can modify in the editor.
